In 1984, President Ronald Reagan established January 22nd as National Sanctity of Human Life Day in recognition of the eleventh anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the disastrous Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all fifty states and led to the deaths of millions of babies. Although Roe was thankfully overturned nearly three years ago, we know our work on the pro-life front is far from complete. For that reason, we continue to recognize and celebrate the sanctity of human life throughout the month of January.
This month, churches and pro-life organizations around the country will commit themselves to observing the sanctity of human life and praying for the restoration of pro-life values in our nation. Please join us in praying for the redemption of America from the scourge of abortion and a return to God’s plan for marriage, family, and children.
