Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced today that it has filed a lawsuit with the state supreme court asking the court to interpret the state constitution about the right of a woman to have an abortion. At the core of this petition is Article one, Section one of the Declaration of Rights in our State Constitution, which reads: “All people are born equally free and independent, and have certain inherent rights; among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
Amazingly, Planned Parenthood says these inherent rights include self-determination, which includes having an abortion. Of course, the abortion giant is completely ignoring the first and most basic inherent right—life. At the moment of conception, a new human life, distinct from the mother, is formed; and that human, even in its earliest development, deserves the right to life.
