On Tuesday, pro-life leaders from Pro-Life Wisconsin, Wisconsin Right to Life, and Wisconsin Family Action held a press conference in which they called on Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm and Dane County District Attorney Ismae Ozanne to do their jobs and enforce the law that bans most abortions in the state. Both D-As have publicly said they would not prosecute anyone who broke this pre-Roe law. Last Monday, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin resumed doing abortions in their Milwaukee and Madison facilities.
The job of a district attorney is to enforce the law, not pick and choose which laws he or she will enforce based on his or her ideological or political beliefs and positions. District Attorneys Chisolm and Ozanne are out of line and are acting outside the boundaries of their office and are blatantly disregarding the rule of law.
