School Choice Wisconsin released new research earlier this week showing schools in Wisconsin’s parental choice programs, or voucher programs, are significantly more cost effective than their public-school peers. The publicly available data shows the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program was 89% more cost-effective than the Milwaukee Public School District, while the Racine Parental Choice Program was 92% more cost-effective than the Racine Unified School District. The statewide Wisconsin Parental Choice Program was 42% more cost-effective than statewide public schools. The full research is available at schoolchoicewi.org.
This report clearly shows our parental choice programs are a win for parents, students, and taxpayers, giving more bang for every educational buck spent.
