Contrary to what social media is saying, social science research shows significantly more married women with children report being very happy with their lives than do unmarried women with no children or single mothers. What’s more, married women with children are better off financially than their childless peers.
Our culture is doing its best to deride marriage and motherhood. Young people desperately need to hear the truth. Families modeling well marriage and child-bearing are one of the best counters to the lies, as are churches that preach, teach, and celebrate both. The lies can be overcome, but we have to work at it. This is an investment that pays big dividends.
