Yesterday Wisconsin Family Council hosted a Day at the Capitol for schools that are part of the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools. Schools came from as far away as Eau Claire and Coleman. Speakers included Assembly Representative William Penterman, Sam Krebs from Senate President Chris Kapenga’s office, State Treasurer John Leiber, and Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley. The schools were given time to meet with their state senator and representative. The day closed with a private Heritage Tour of the capitol.
We love investing in the next generation. Having these young people in the capitol is invigorating and gives us great hope for the future. The day is fast-paced and even includes a team game and a scavenger hunt. Our hope is the teens enjoy the time and also learn a bit about our state government and how they can be involved even as young people.
