Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

During the early days of EE, a young man named Jack and two of his friends were evangelism trainers at Coral Ridge who were passionate about discipling other Christians in the church. For Jack’s birthday one year, his wife Lois gifted him something that he really wanted, which was to take a hot air balloon ride with his friends. On a nice Saturday morning, they took off, but the winds blew wrong causing the pilot to lose control. The balloon crashed into power lines and the balloon burst into flames. It shot in the air with the men one thousand feet, and Lois watched Jack and his friends fall from the sky. They called it a tragedy. The next morning, Dr. Kennedy stepped into the pulpit and said, “It’s a tragedy—young men living their lives fully for God—to die young? The tragedy is when a man lives to an old age and never does anything for God.” Make your life count. For resources to help you get started, visit www.sharelife.today.
