Dangerous Resolutions

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Do you make dangerous goals? Now, you might ask, “Well, John, what do you mean? Are you asking if I plan to sky-dive or cliff-jump?” While those sound exciting, that’s not what I’m asking. 1 Peter 4:19 says, “So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.” It can be hard to live for Christ when we know that we are going to suffer and be persecuted for it. And I’m not going to sugarcoat it—the truth is, there are Christians around the world who face hardship every day for their faith. We see this continually in Eurasia. For countries like Afghanistan, Turkey, Iran, Russia, throughout the “stans” and many more, you can be persecuted or killed for being a believer. And yet, in Eurasia, Christians are boldly sharing the Gospel—because they know that the people around them need the hope found only in Jesus. May we be as bold! For more, visit www.sharelife.today.
