Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Have you ever felt hopeless? Sometimes in the darkest times, it can be hard to imagine things ever getting better. This can definitely be said of Tomo from Japan. He grew up with a very abusive father, who had a huge, negative impact on his family and caused both him and his mother to fall into deep depression. Tomo says that he felt little hope and no desire to become an adult. However, his sister and mother were invited to a local church, and both they and his younger brother quickly joined and accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Tomo hesitated and stubbornly stayed away. But God brought men and women from the church into his life to meet him in his darkest times, and Tomo experienced God drawing him to Jesus. He accepted Christ as his Savior and today is a pastor in Japan who shares the hope of Jesus with the Japanese.
