I’m sure you’re not surprised to hear that we’re more likely to share our faith with others when we’re feeling encouraged in our own lives. So, I’d like to share a dose of spiritual encouragement from the Bible that centers on the phrase “fix your eyes.” Where? And on Whom? Well, the twelfth chapter of Hebrews gives this spiritual advice: “Fix your eyes on Jesus.” Fixing our eyes on Jesus encourages us because we can see our problems and struggles from His perspective. It also helps us to see people around us in a different light. They’re not simply there to help us or to hinder us. God has placed them in our lives so that we might influence them spiritually by being a friend, an encourager, or a Gospel witness.
