“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Have you heard this beautiful chapter before? In Psalm 23, we see a picture of what resting in the Lord looks like. He “makes [us] lie down in green pastures; He leads us by quiet waters; He restores [our] souls.” This peace happens as a by-product of walking with God. From the very first moment we are born again through placing our trust in Jesus alone, we’re on an incredible journey of God restoring us through the righteousness of His Son. He grows us in the Fruit of the Spirit, such as peace and joy, as well as gives us Spiritual gifts we can use in service to Him. “He leads [us] on paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” And one of the ways that we can glorify His name is by sharing the Gospel with others.
