“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” This beautiful verse from Psalm 27 teaches us an important truth about Jesus—He is our light and our salvation. Jesus did not come just to be a good example or a great teacher for us—the Bible tells us that He is our Savior. Romans three says that “the wages of sin is death,” and every person that’s sinned has to pay it. Jesus told his disciples that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Well, all means all—that’s all all means! Every human has fallen short of that standard. But praise be to God! Jesus was more than just another man—He’s God in the flesh who died on the cross for our sins. He is our light and salvation. Who can you share this Good News with today?
