The Bible in Psalm 122 instructs us to pray for peace—and specifically…it says “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” Now, it’s possible you could be finding that hard at the moment. In fact, it might seem like true world peace is unattainable. But Jesus is our peace, and that is the peace the world needs right now. Now, you might think I must be naive to say this, because so many people talk about or even promise world peace and it never happens. But I’m here to tell you that true peace is attainable through Jesus, the Prince of peace; and that is the only peace that is everlasting. Jesus told His disciples in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
