How often are you praying for the lost? Are you praying for God to send someone to share with them? And if you’re not praying for opportunities to share the Gospel, you’re missing the greatest joy of your Christian life! Sharing the Gospel truly is a gift from God. So, who are you praying for to come to saving faith in Jesus? Pray for the opportunity to share the Gospel with them. Pray for their heart and mind to be open to the Gospel and pray that you would be ready to share with them when the time comes. A book called the Essentials of Prayer by E.M. Bounds says, “A person who can pray is the mightiest instrument that Christ has in this world. A praying Church is stronger than all the gates of hell.” So, if you’re wanting to break the gates of hell and bring someone to saving faith in Jesus, start with prayer.
