Of course not – your freedom as an American is because of the men and women who put their lives on the line, many giving the ultimate sacrifice by dying for our freedom. You know, that’s a lot like our freedom in Jesus. When we accept Christ, we become free from sin and its penalty. We cannot be free from our sin without admitting our need for Jesus to pay our penalty.
