Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

“Who is my neighbor?” Do you remember the time an  expert in Jewish Law asked Jesus this question in Luke chapter 10? And what was Jesus’ response? Well, Jesus shared a parable about a man who was beaten and left half dead on the side of the road. Both a priest and a Levite passed by and did nothing to help. But a Samaritan man—viewed as an enemy to Israelites—stopped and took care of the hurt man. Jesus asked, “Which of these three was a neighbor to the hurt man?” And the expert correctly answered, “The one who had mercy on Him.” And guess what? We are to do likewise. Jesus commanded us to have mercy and love even our enemies. And one of the greatest ways we can do this is to share the hope and peace that’s found only in Jesus. When we share the Gospel with others, we are loving our neighbors. For resources and help on how you can share confidently and lovingly, visit our website at www.sharelife.today. That’s www.sharelife.today.
