Throughout the course of human history, there have been many corrupt kings. But humanity has continually sought a perfect ruler who will bring peace to our communities and our lives. However, a fallen people enslaved to sin has never been able to produce anyone able to do this. And more than ever, our culture deals with anxiety, depression, and great fear about the future. But did you know, that once we put our trust in Jesus, we personally know the King of Kings? Ephesians 1 tells us that after His resurrection and ascension to heaven, Jesus was seated at the “right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule, authority, power and dominion…” (Ephesians 1:20–21) Our everlasting King Jesus is powerful! He conquered sin and death, and all who put their trust in Him alone receive the gift of eternal life as well as peace and joy found only in Him. Who can you share this with this week?
