As we look at what it means to spiritually multiply this week, let’s start with a very important question: what are some of the qualities and skills that we want to impart to others? Just like Paul raised up Timothy in the ways of the faith, we too want to impart important, Biblical truths to newer believers. First, we want to encourage those we mentor to make witnessing a way of life. And they will confidently share if we’ll teach them how. The ability to explain the Gospel clearly and lead a person in commitment to Jesus is very important. Second, we want them to have a loving and caring attitude toward the lost—that they would see others the way that God sees them. And finally, it wouldn’t be spiritual multiplication if they didn’t catch the desire and ability to train others, just as we are training them.
