A young antelope had a big date and one evening and spent hours getting all dressed to perfection. Unfortunately, before the date happened, she was stampeded by a heard of buffalo and killed, making her the first “self-dressed stamped antelope.”
That’s a bad joke, but a self-addressed stamped envelope can be a good tool for managing your time. How often have you had a project held up because of waiting for a response from a procrastinator? Valuable time is often lost when we have to wait for a signature, approval, or comment from those who seem to find every possible excuse for not responding promptly.
Sending them a request with a self-addressed stamped envelope, makes it a little easier for them to respond and may even make them feel guilty if they waste your stamp.
The Bible tells us to be patient with the weak. That’s not always easy to do. But, doing little things to encourage them along may help both of you redeem the time.
