A successful moose hunter was disappointed when he met his pilot for the flight home, and was told he could only take four of his six moose. He strongly objected, claiming, “Last year I shot six and the pilot let me bring them all and he had the same plane as yours.”
Reluctantly, the pilot gave in and loaded all six. Moments later, the little plane crashed under the heavy load. As the two men climbed out, the hunter remarked, “This looks like the same place we crashed last year.”
Some people never seem to learn from their mistakes. They often waste time, doing the same activities over and over, that never produce satisfying results. It’s one of Satan’s favorite tactics to keep Christians from becoming effective. Time should be our best teacher, even though it eventually kills all its students.
As you plan your day today, reflect on where you failed to use time well yesterday. Then make plans to avoid the same trap, so you’ll redeem the time.
