We all know we need to spend time with our children. Nearly every message I’ve ever heard or given myself on “Redeeming the Time” includes that point. But how can you actually spend profitable time with your children? One way is to create precise questions to ask your children next time you take them out for a walk or a meal. Here are some examples:
What is your favorite song?
What foods do you like or dislike the most?
What person, outside our family has influenced you the most? How have they influenced you?
What do you want to do when you grow up?
What do you appreciate most about each member of our family?
What is your greatest fear?
When you reach the end of your life, what do you want to look back on and see that you have accomplished for the Lord?
By taking time to prepare your questions ahead of time, you can make sure that time spent individually with a child will redeem the time.
