I once heard a man describe how his wife required regular sessions of “Retail Therapy” to stay healthy.
Going shopping can be fun at times, even therapeutic. But at other times it can be hectic. One time when shopping is not fun is when we are in a last minute rush to get a gift for a holiday, birthday or anniversary. What should have been a pleasant trip to find a way to express our love and appreciation for someone special, becomes a frustrating, expensive hassle.
But, we can avoid that scenario by doing year round gift shopping. Good time management means not waiting till the last minute to start any “must do” project. Planning ahead allows the giver to be more creative and thoughtful in their giving. It allows you to save money by watching for bargains year round.
Taking a little retail therapy, by doing year round gift shopping, can save God’s money and help you redeem the time.
