If a friend were asked to choose only one verb to describe your life, what would it be?
If you ever read a book about great prayer warriors of the past, you’ll probably come across a man known as “Praying Hyde.” His true name was John Hyde and he was a missionary to India a century ago. Praying Hyde was known to spend days in prayer and deep soul travail before God. He lived a sacrificial life totally focused on serving His Lord and reaching the people of India.
The result of his life was a great harvest of souls ushered into the Kingdom of God. And it came through his deep life of prayer. John Hyde was so identified with prayer he became known as “Praying Hyde.”
Again, what verb would describe your life? Feasting Bill, TV Mary, Worrying Betty or Get Rich Quick Bob? People are watching how you use your time. Remember the legacy of Praying Hyde as an inspiration to redeem the time.
