A man asked his buddy, “Fred, how was that memory clinic you went to last month?”
“Outstanding,” Fred replied. “They taught us all the latest techniques, like visualization and association. It was great, haven’t had a problem since.”
”Wow”, said the friend. “What was the name of this clinic?”
Fred went blank. He thought and thought, but couldn’t remember.
Then a smile broke across his face and he asked, “What do you call that flower with the long stem and thorns?”
“You mean a rose?”
“Yes, that’s it!” said Fred.
He turned to his wife, “Hey Rose, what was the name of that memory clinic?”
Some of us might get help from going to a memory clinic, but a better technique is to conserve our memory space by writing down as many details as possible instead of trying to remember them. By writing down phone numbers and directions you free that memory space to think on God’s Word which is a much better way to redeem the time.
