A few years ago I was finding it difficult to get out of bed on time. I was sleeping in instead of spending quality time with the Lord in the morning.
At that time, I went to a large church where we had a 5 O’Clock AM prayer meeting 7 days a week. I asked the pastor if I could be responsible for unlocking the church for the 5 O’clock prayer meeting. He was glad to find someone who wanted that responsibility. The next morning when my alarm clock went off at ten till five I got up! Because I knew that if I didn’t someone would know about it. Someone would be standing outside the church wanting to get in to pray but they couldn’t because I was home in bed when I had already promised to unlock the church.
Remember, accountability can be a powerful key to early rising and early rising is a good way to start redeeming the time.
