What Is Meant by the “Jews Are Blinded in Part Until …” in Romans 11:25-26?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

It means that they are blinded partially and temporarily. It’s not that they can’t see with their eyes, but that they are hard-headed, stiff-necked, and hard-hearted. They are rejecting Scripture. They can see and read it but reject it. It will be released when the fullness of the Gentiles come in. The fullness of the Gentiles is when the last Gentile comes to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This will happen at the end of the Tribulation period. When this happens, Jesus Christ will come back (Zechariah 3:9). They will not all be saved because we know that those Jews who reject Jesus Christ are not going to be saved. They have to trust in Him. Everybody has to come by way of the cross and Jesus Christ to get saved.

John Hagee wrote a heretical book, In Defense of Israel, that Jesus Christ never offered Himself as the Messiah. Thus, the Jews never rejected Him and are therefore not guilty. This is not in the Bible and is a heretical book that he wrote.

In Romans 11:26 it says that all of Israel should be saved, the word in Greek for “saved” doesn’t necessarily mean salvation but saved from the Tribulation.

In Daniel 12, God dispatches Michael, the archangel, to keep all of the Jews from being killed. They will be saved from total death.

Jeremiah 30:7 talks about the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. The time will be terrible. There will not be a revival, which is when someone who is alive comes back to the excitement of life; if someone is dead, they can’t be revived or evangelized. If they are dead in their sin, they can be evangelized.

The two witnesses will preach from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem for the first three and a half years. 144,000 male virgin Jews (Revelation 7:4-8) will get saved and go across the world preaching the gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 24:14). Everyone will hear the gospel, including the Jews, and many of them will come to know Christ as Lord and Savior. Revelation 7:9 refers to a multitude that no man can number. Romans 11:26 is not talking about salvation but about being saved from the terrible time of the Tribulation which is the Time of Jacob’s Trouble.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
