Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!
I don’t know of anywhere in the Bible that says we won’t be able to tell the seasons apart.
In Matthew 16, the Pharisees and Sadducees had come to Jesus, trying to tempt Him, asking Him to show them a sign from heaven. They had already seen Jesus perform many miracles such as the feeding of the five thousand and really didn’t need another sign to prove that He was the Son of God. At the wedding in Cana, Jesus performed His first miracle. None of the miracles that Jesus did were for convenience sake; they were all pointing to the fact that He was the Son of God.
In Matthew 16, Christ refers to the weather, and He uses it as an analogy for them. He told them that you can discern the weather by the sky’s condition, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. He told them that they were hypocrites.
We are not looking for signs but are listening for the sound of the trumpet at the Rapture of the Church when we will be caught up to be with Him in the heavenlies.
Jesus wasn’t talking to Christians in this passage, nor was He saying that we wouldn’t be able to tell the weather in the endtimes but was talking to the Pharisees and the Sadducees who were asking for a sign and made an analogy to them.
Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
