What Is Meant by the “Highway to Holiness” in Isaiah 35?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

There were no Christians in the time of Isaiah, only Gentiles and Jews. They will be on the earth. We will be in the New Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem will not be on the earth but will hover over the earth like the moon hovers over the earth. A piece of real estate will be given to the Jewish people.

The “Highway to Holiness” is a parallel passage to Isaiah 19 where it says that the King’s Highway will be where those from Egypt and Assyria come together. They meet the Jews and go up to Jerusalem.

All holiness will be in the city of Jerusalem during the Kingdom. They will be speaking the Hebrew language. The Egyptians and Assyrians will come back, serving Jesus Christ Who is the King and will join with the Jews speaking Hebrew, the language used to bless the Lord with.

There was one language in the beginning which was Hebrew. There have been many languages during the years, but when the kingdom will be set up, all languages will be Hebrew, the language used to bless God.

They go up the King’s Highway to Jerusalem, the highway to righteousness and holiness where Jesus is. Micah 4 and Isaiah 2 says that we will all go up to Jerusalem to hear Jesus teach the Word of God. The Word of the Lord shall proceed out of Jerusalem in that day.

In 1 Thessalonian 4:17, after the Rapture, we will never leave His presence because we are His queen, and He is the King. We are married to Him and that makes us the queen. We will rule and reign over the kingdom which is for the Jews and the Gentiles. They go up to the City of Holiness, up to the place of righteousness to study at the feet of Jesus Christ.
