Turkey will be a part of the coalition that will form against the Jewish state of Israel. Daniel 11:40-43 refers to two of the nations that will be a part of the coalition, Syria and Egypt. The third one is Libya. They are on the radar today. Libya has instituted a radical Islamic Sharia law-led government which means that they are living by the law from the Koran, the holy book of the Muslim people. The Muslim Brotherhood is waiting for the power vacuum to develop in Syria, and then they will rush in. Radical Islamists are planning on taking over these countries. It is called the Arab Spring or Arab Winter, but now we see it unfold.
Ezekiel 38:2-6 mentions Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, and Togarmah. Persia is Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Ethiopia is modern-day Ethiopia, Sudan, and Somalia. Put or Libya is modern-day Libya.
Psalm 83:6-7 mentions the Ishmaelites which is modern-day Saudi Arabia. Tyre is modern-day Lebanon.
Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Togarmah were the sons of Japheth, the grandsons of Noah (Genesis 10). The grandsons of Noah, sons of Japheth, were young men who went to a certain location and trained their family in a new language and established a nation right after the flood 4500 years ago. This is where these nations came from. They went to the south of the Caspian and Black Seas. This is where Turkey is. At one time, the nation of Turkey was divided into four parts: Meshech, Tubal, Gomer, and Togarmah.
