There is some blossoming taking place in Israel. For example, about 65 percent of all food that would be consumed in the European Union comes from the agricultural fields of Israel. In the Dead Sea area, date palms have been planted. It looks like a whole new culture coming into existence. The Jezreel Valley is referred to as the Bread Basket of the World. The Hula Valley produces seven crops of alfalfa a year; this is out of the ordinary. Some produce up to twelve crops a year. Israel is starting to blossom.
The text in Isaiah is in the context of that period called the Kingdom to Come. When the Lord comes back, returning the earth to what it was in Genesis again, He will refurbish the earth, and it will be blossoming in the desert of the rose.
