What Do You Think of the Remnant Theology that Teaches that the Church and Israel Overlap in Some Manner?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

In Remnant Theology, the Gentile church becomes a part of the nation of Israel. This is not correct.

The Gentile church is made up; there is no term such as Gentile church.

The Bible says in Ephesians 2:11 that with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the two people who were at enmity with each other, Gentiles and Jews, take the wall of partition out between the two people and makes them one people, Christians.

Remnant Theology would not go along with what I say that there are three members of the human family: Gentiles, Jews, and Christians. Christians are the Church which is made up of Gentiles and Jews who have trusted in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior between the time of the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2) and the Rapture of the Church. This is the Church period in all of history.

We do not become a part of Israel. Romans 11:13-25 talks about it. Many people get confused. The root in this passage is talking about faith, which is the tree where the grafting is taking place and the branches are being cut off. The branches are the Jews and the Christians which are made up of Gentiles and Jews. We do not become Jews.

Paul had a problem with Peter who was trying to Judaize the Gentiles in Galatians 2. He called him down publicly for doing that.

Israel and the Church are different. God has a plan for each of these. This is key to understanding Bible prophecy, understanding God’s plan for the future.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
