What Do You Believe about the Palestinians Defeating the Jews?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

UN Resolution 181 was the partition plan that was voted on and passed in the United Nations on 11/29/1947. The United Nations members decided to partition the land of Israel today to give a portion to the Palestinian people for a Palestinian state and give the other portion to the Jewish people. The Jewish leadership, the Jewish Agency, was not excited. They were going to announce Israel as a state on May 14, 1948. Israel did not have a government; instead, the Jewish Agency was handling all of the business for the potential of the Jewish state.

The Palestinian people rejected this partition plan from the United Nations, Resolution 181; the Jewish people reluctantly accepted it. The Palestinians then joined with seven other Arab countries to attack the Jewish people and to try to wipe them off the face of the earth. The Palestinians told their women and children and their elderly to go across the Jordan River and into what is today modern-day Jordan while they wiped the Jews into the Mediterranean. We know that this did not happen. They tried it again in May of 1948 when there was an announcement to the world that there was a Jewish state. This failed as well. This is what happened historically.

The Word of God pronounces a judgment against Mount Seir in Ezekiel 35. In Genesis 36, Esau, who became Edom, took his family and went to the southern portion of modern-day Jordan, to Mount Seir. Ezekiel 35:5 says, “Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:” The Palestinian people, the Edomites – the descendants of those who went to Mount Seir – will rise up in the last days and kill the Jewish people.

Ezekiel 35:10-12 says that another reason that they will be judged is “Because thou hast said, these two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the Lord was there. Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. And thou shalt know that I am the Lord, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.” This text tells us that the descendants of Esau, the Palestinian people today, will rise up, kill the Jews, and take their land.

My statement is based upon the text, the prophecies of the Scripture that will be fulfilled.

Malachi 1 says that the descendants of Esau, the Palestinians, will rise up and return to the land that they had to depart from in 70 A.D. as well as the Jews who were dispersed to the four corners of the earth. The Palestinians were dispersed as well and will return and will rebuild, according to the text, and the Lord said that he would call their borders the borders of wickedness, indicating that they will have a state with borders. Then He says to the Palestinians that He will have indignation against them forever.

Obadiah 15-18 talks about the time at the end when the Palestinians will be controlling the city of Jerusalem. They will become intoxicated. They will be up on the Temple Mount and will be intoxicated with their power.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
