At the Rapture of the Church and When We Are in Heaven, Will We Know Our Families and Our Wives?

Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!

The Sadducees in Matthew 22:23 are the ones who came to Jesus Christ and tried to put Him on the spot. They were asking whose husband would be the one when they were in heaven since she had had several? In Matthew 22:30, it says, “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” It has nothing to do with whether we will know each other when we get to heaven. If you are talking about the word “know,” meaning a sexual relationship with your present wife, that is not what it is talking about. It refers to recognizing someone as I would recognize Jesus Christ after His resurrection when He came with His disciples and went to Galilee with them. They recognized Jesus Christ. We will be as Christ after His resurrection. We will have glorified bodies. We will be able to recognize each other in the heavenlies.

Those of us who are now alive in the Church Age and are raptured out, there will be no marriage relationships after the rapture.

Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
