Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!
Matthew 24 has nothing to do with the falling away before the Rapture of the Church. Matthew 24 does not refer to the Rapture anywhere in the chapter but to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 does refer to the question about these who would form in opposition to what the Word of God has to say, some type of religiosity, which will be setting the stage for the Rapture of the Church which happens in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. This verse mentions a falling away which is “apostasia” – which means “to depart from one place and go to another.” This is referring to the Rapture of the Church, departing from here and going into the heavenlies.
I Timothy 4:1-3 says that there will be a departing from the faith (the Apostolic Reformation, the Emergent Church Movement, Joel’s Army, Chrislam, Glenn Beck), giving heed to seducing spirits (satanic spirits), and coming forth with doctrines of demons (the Emergent Church Movement, Joel’s Army, etc.). This is exactly what these organizations are doing, moving into the doctrines of demons, not doctrines about demons, but demons. 2 Corinthians 12 talks about the devil being an angel of light and his ministers of righteousness (the devil’s ministers). This is where the doctrines of demons come from.
Be careful how you get involved with some of these movements around the world that are going contradictory to the Word of God. This is the time in history when these things are going to happen.
Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
