If you want to understand what God is doing in His timeline, look at the Jewish people and Jerusalem. Also, look at the economic situation in our world. We do have a global economic crisis. The United States is a major part of the problem. The European Union is very much involved and is trying to sustain the economies of several of their nations (Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Ireland). The president of France is restructuring the economic situation in France. It is a problem all across the world.
Revelation 18 talks about a one-world economic center located on the shores of the Euphrates River in Babylon. The purpose of the United States troops in Iraq was to take out Saddam Hussein and to keep him from doing what he was trying to. They wanted to establish a stable nation; it is not stable but very dangerous.
The Antichrist, a strong leader, will come on the scene and set up the operation in Babylon, controlling the economy of the world. The merchants of the world, Revelation 19, will wax rich as they are in partnership with the Antichrist because he will cause every person on Earth to take an identification mark, the mark of the beast. We don’t know a lot of what it actually is. There will be something on the forehead or the back of the right hand that will indicate that you are okay to buy or sell. We don’t know if it is 666 or a computer chip.
This is a key component to looking at the times in which we are approaching: the Rapture of the Church and then all of this economic chaos during the Tribulation Period.
