Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!
It is an impossibility that God has done away with the Jewish people for four reasons:
- In the Abrahamic Covenant in Genesis 15, God promises the Jewish people that they will be a nation forever. This is an unconditional promise that He cannot break.
- The Land Covenant, Deuteronomy 30, God promises to give them a piece of real estate which will be ten times what they have today.
- In the Davidic Covenant, 2 Samuel 7, God promises King David (Jeremiah the prophet says that you have to do away with the night and day in order to break the promise that he made with King David) that there will be a temple on the Temple Mount in the city of Jerusalem, and one of the people of David’s legacy, his family, will come back, which will be Jesus Christ, to Jerusalem and build that temple and rule and reign forever.
- In the New Covenant, Jeremiah 31:31, where the Lord says that you will be my people, and I will be your God.
This is all future. Deuteronomy 7:6-8 says, “For thou art an holy people unto the lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.”
These four covenants are absolutes. If He can break any of these promises, we don’t want anything to do with Him because He can break His promise to us of eternal life. The Jews have not been replaced by the Church. God has a plan for the Church and a plan for the Jewish people, the kingdom to come where the Jewish people will receive the kingdom, and Jesus Christ will be their King.
Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
