Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!
This will only be speculation. God doesn’t give us all of the details. We can look at what happened after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Did He have a similar personality to the one He had before His death, burial, and resurrection? Yes. The Bible says that we will be like Him (1 John 3:2). We who know Him as Lord and Savior will be like Him. When He went to the Sea of Galilee and found a group of disciples fishing on the shore, He prepared breakfast for them. He ate a meal. They had sweet fellowship. We will know Him. We will still know who we are and who they are. He walked into the Upper Room with the two men that wanted to ask Him questions and talked about Himself. He met with the disciples, and they recognized Him. He told them not to touch Him now. Later, they were able to touch Him. He spent 40 days with them after the resurrection, teaching them. It was just like before the resurrection. They were in sweet fellowship with the Lord.
Revelation 22 talks about there being a Tree of Life in the New Jerusalem. We will eat from the Tree of Life. We will have sweet fellowship in heaven and interaction with those who we have known that have gone before us, both Old and New Testament saints. We will find out how the Lord used them and how they did certain things. We will be seated at the feet of Jesus Christ, and He will be teaching us. Isaiah 2 and Micah 4 say that He will teach the Word. He will do that during the Millennial Kingdom from Jerusalem and throughout eternity as well.
This is how things will be to the best that we can understand it. The Lord didn’t give us all of the information because He knew that we would not be able to comprehend how great it is going to be.
Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word.
