Daniel 2 is talking about the dream that Nebuchadnezzar had and the interpretation of the dream that Daniel received as a gift from God. In Daniel 2:40, he talks about the fourth kingdom that should come to power which is the two legs of iron (the Roman empire that was in charge at the time of Jesus Christ). Then he talks about ten toes of iron and clay (vv. 42-43) – “And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.”
The ten toes represent the Revived Roman empire, the same as the ten horns in Daniel 7:7 would represent. When it talks about mingling with the seed of men, it is talking about how Satanic activity is going to be put together with human experience to bring about this Revived Roman empire.
In Daniel 2:44 he talks about the ten toes of iron and clay being mixed together “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.”
Look at these verses in context. Don’t pull out one verse and try to make it say something or build a doctrine upon it.
