Welcome to Prophecy Q & A with Jimmy DeYoung!
God’s Word says absolutely nothing about children at the rapture of the church.
The Scripture talks about people who are born again Christians. There is an age of accountability, and I do not know that age. Only God does. Once children understand that they are sinners and have that sin problem taken care of by Jesus Christ, they are born again. You can’t do that too early. Jesus loves the children. In Matthew 19:14, He says,
“But Jesus said, ‘Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
Matthew 19:14 NASB
In Matthew 18:10, He also talks about angels looking daily at the face of God and responding to the Lord about how they have taken care of their responsibilities with a little child. Each child has a guardian angel. The Lord will take care of that child.
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 18:10 NASB
I believe Jesus Christ loves them so much. My heart tells me that the child who may not be of that age to receive Christ will be caught up to be with Him at the rapture. I even believe, that the unborn child in the womb of ladies who are unsaved will be caught up as well. I cannot prove that from Scripture. I can just say that the Lord Jesus Christ loves the little children.
In 2 Samuel 12:23, David had just lost his child because of his sin. David said,
“But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”
2 Samuel 12:23 KJV
That seems to indicate that when the little boy died, he went into the presence of the Lord because that is where David was going to go. The child cannot come back to David, but David can go to be with him.
Jimmy DeYoung was a prophecy teacher and journalist who travelled the country and the world educating the Body of Christ of the future events foretold in God’s prophetic Word. His goal was to equip Christians with the knowledge and understanding of what God’s Word says will happen someday soon, so that they can make better decisions today. Dr. DeYoung went home to be with his Savior on August 15, 2021.
