The threat a Palestinian state poses is this: would you have a state that believes that you have no right to exist right in the belly of your nation?
In other words, to the south and to the north of what will be a state called Palestine will be the Jewish state of Israel. The Palestinians want to take over the Gaza Strip/West Bank (Judea and Samaria, which includes the old city of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount). Many times you will hear the Palestinian people say that they have a right to have their state back. However, there has never been a Palestinian state. Four hundred years prior to the Brits taking control of the Middle East in 1917, the Ottoman Empire (Turkish Empire) controlled what we know as modern day Israel … the rest of the Middle East as well. There was no Palestinian state. In 1917, the British Empire received the surrender from the Ottoman Empire, and Great Britain took over what we know of as modern-day Israel until 1948. It was at that time that the United Nations declared that the Jewish people had a right to have a state in the Middle East. Israel became that state in 1948.
Now, the world has listened to the lies so long that it accepts the assertion that there must be a Palestinian state. The Palestinian people are making a statement. The Palestinian president is talking with the European Union, the United States, and Russia, and he’s telling all these people that the Palestinian people are going to unilaterally declare a Palestinian state. If the Palestinians declare a unilateral state, the Israeli government is ready to annex these locations in Israel where the Palestinian people want to have their state, in particular, Judea and Samaria, which is the area where all of the Jewish settlements are located.
This conflict has been going on for 4,000 years and dates back to the time when Jacob and Esau started fighting within the belly of their mother! This will only be settled when Jesus Christ comes back.
