The next main event on God’s calendar is the rapture of the church; it’s talked about in 1 Thessalonians 4, 1 Corinthians 15, and Revelation 4. That’s the next event that we’re anxiously awaiting at any moment. But before that time comes, we are to be busy doing what we are here on earth to do – bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ!
Following the rapture of the church will be the revelation of Jesus Christ. This next main event is when Christ returns to the earth. That will be the only time He will touch down on the Mount of Olives. Just as He ascended into the heavenlies from the Mount of Olives in the book of Acts, He will again touch down there and be revealed to the whole world. His revelation will be followed by a 1,000-year period of time.
The Great White Throne Judgment will be the final of the three main events on God’s calendar of future events. Between the rapture and the revelation of Jesus Christ, the tribulation period occurs. Then between the revelation of Jesus Christ and the Great White Throne Judgment is the 1,000-year millennial period which is talked about in the Book of Ezekiel and the Book of Revelation.
