JD: The Prime Minister said this week Israeli Defense Force may be the only army ready to fight Iran.
DD: Well Jimmy yes the Prime Minister made several pretty strong statements this week concerning Iran and concerning again Hezbollah and Lebanon. He warned civilians in Lebanon would not be spared if there was a war because we said we know that Hezbollah has its rockets under houses and in civilian areas; we don’t want to kill civilians but we will respond with all of our might if we are attacked. And of course he’s been saying the same thing about Iran for some time. The Israeli’s are not wanting war but are ready for war. But it still looks very much on edge Jimmy. The Prime Minister, the longest serving Prime Minister now in Israel’s history, he is watching very very closely and has his finger on the pulse of what’s happening.
JD: Netanyahu was the first one, a world leader who spoke out against the Iranian nuclear deal that President Obama put together.
DD: We’re not talking about just their nuclear program there’s so much else that’s going on. This is the situation Israel is facing an enemy that is determined to destroy it so the leaders of Iran have been saying really since the revolution in 1979 that the little Satan will disappear. They continue to talk like that and Israel is right at the center of it and they know it. But again they’re doing as much as they can to avoid war. But if it comes the warning from the Prime Minister that Israel has surprises that nobody will anticipate of course the other side is saying the same thing. But I would tend to bet on the Israeli’s in that contest. A lot of brilliant people there and they are definitely are on the cutting edge of both military and civilian technology.
