JD: Very interesting move taken by some senior Israeli leaders. I’m talking about members of the Israeli present cabinet and also members of the Knesset, the Legislators there in Israel pledging that two million Jews will be living very soon now in Judea and Samaria or as referred to by some the West Bank. I mean there’s about five hundred thousand now that’s four times as many Jews in Judea and Samaria. Is that a viable possibility do you think David?
DD: Well it certainly is, it’s the Biblical heartland and many Jews want to live there. It’s very close to Jerusalem, which is also of course a part of Judea and Samaria, Judea in particular. But Jimmy we have reports that Jason Greenblatt and Jared Kushner from the US are coming to the region late this month to promote the President’s new peace plan. As we’ve discussed before the peace plan apparently includes that Jews would not be allowed to do much more building in Judea and Samaria.
They would be able to keep most of the communities that are there now but abandon about fifteen percent of them. Whether this would be supported by anybody else in the world we will have to see. It’s definitely not going to happen without a battle Jimmy but you and I know what the books says, Ezekiel 36 in particular, the Jews would return to the mountains, the hills of Israel that’s Judea and Samaria they’re there. They’re not going to leave certainly not voluntarily and many more do want to come. And then anti-Semitism heating up all around the world that is definitely lets say a factor in Jews wanting to leave those countries and come to Israel. Well where are they going to live? Around Jerusalem is where many of them want to and that is part of the disputed territories.
JD: David Dolan with the details behind the call from many Israeli leaders for two million Jews to populate the disputed territories in Israel known as Judea and Samaria.
