We’ll pause learning from the shortest prayers of the Bible to go thru some practical ideas to pray better. If you have a system that works for you, great! But if you’re struggling, here’s some ideas:
- Get a notebook. I use a Moleskine 5″ by 8.25″ for note-taking, task-logging, journaling, etc. Yes you can use your phone (trust me, I use mine plenty), but there’s something about pen and paper.
- Write it down. When you tell someone “I’ll pray for you” and….. you forget? Remember, “The faintest pen stroke is better than the sharpest memory.”
- Use a Mnemonic to pray for different requests each day. We’ll use one from SharingNewHope for example. Today is Sunday, so let’s pray for the Salvation of people who need to know the LORD.
Does God want you to pray for others to be saved? What does God want for people?
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
