It’s May 21, 1775. I’m with Abigail Adams. We are watching several boatloads of British troops sail into Boston Harbor.
JG: “Mrs. Adams, as your husband is away with the Continental Congress, and the British are taking over Boston, what are your thoughts?”
AA: “Mr. Gillespie, by God’s grace, we live for today. Many Bostonians need to be fed and protected, and I aim to help them.”
Help them Abigail did, as she fed and provided shelter for many who appeared at her doorstep. She was a devoted wife and mother but also devoted to American freedom.
