It’s December 3, 1779. I’m near Morristown, Pennsylvania, marching through a blizzard with teenage soldier Joseph Martin.
JG: “Joseph, how are we going to survive this horrible winter? Can our troops make it until Christmas?”
JM: “John, this is worse than Valley Forge, but God gave us the strength to make it through that winter, and with His help, we will make it again and live to worship His Son on Christmas Day.”
Joseph and General Washington’s army did make it through that horrible winter, and they went on to secure freedom to worship for all Americans.
