Experience the American dream with today’s Patriot of the Past interview. I’m your host, John Gillespie.
It’s August 20, 1794. I’m with Mad Anthony Wayne at the Battle of Fallen Timbers.
JG: “General Wayne, what is the reason for this battle?”
AW: “Mr. Gillespie, our settlements in the Ohio Valley have been attacked by the British and Little Turtle’s Native American warriors. We must stop them from taking over the Northwest Territory.”
Stop them Mad Anthony did as his federal troops soundly defeated Little Turtle’s warriors at the Battle of Fallen Timbers.
