It’s September 7, 1774. The First Continental Congress has just received news that the world’s most powerful military, England, has seized Boston. I’m standing with a very concerned John Adams.
JG: “Mr. Adams, what is the mood of the delegates?”
JA: “John, we all know war and death are imminent. Many members were in tears. The reality is we will all soon sacrifice much. We were just led in a powerful prayer from the 35th Psalm.”
