It’s December 17, 1773. It’s the day after the Boston Tea Party and I’m with John Adams. His cousin, Samuel Adams, led the tea party last night.
JG: “Mr. Adams, is your cousin, Sam, okay?”
JA: “He’s fine, John. I’m so proud of him and I admire his passion to fight for the principles of liberty. Destruction of the tea was a bold and daring act. It will have important and lasting results. It will be a turning point in our quest for freedom. The Sons of Liberty will prevail!”
A turning point it was as the British declared martial law and the colonies called for independence.
