With almost two hundred thousand people gathering in Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show, much of the news world is focusing on the latest gizmos and gadgets available for sale.
The week started off oddly, with a self-driving car “killing” a humanoid robot. But otherwise the show demonstrated ‘safer’ electronic toys – starting with the giant precision-guided GPS farm equipment from John Deere.
Entertainment spending accounts for over $3,000 per household, and saw a 10% increase last year while “cash contributions” (alimony and child support payments; care of students away from home; and contributions to religious, educational, charitable, or political organizations) dropped 10%. Entertainment goes to a new level at CES, with robots that can play you (and train you) in ping pong.
Friendly looking humanoid robots are also making the rounds as personal contact is being replaced with machine contact.
Drones are no longer just a hobbyist’s tool – industrial drones capable of carrying humans are no longer theoretical, some have been purchased by the Dubai Police Department.
Revelation 13:15-17 describes the incredible power of the future one world government to monitor and force compliance with the one world religion. At CES surveillance technology is far beyond grainy camera images – it tags individuals with unique identifiers, analyzes by gender, age, emotions, and can tell how long it’s been since the individual was last spotted.
Even though technology can be used for bad purposes, as science and technology improve together, certain facts become even more obvious.
Yes, sometimes it takes millions of dollars and thousands of hours to be spent to discover something the Bible has said all along – our Creator did a magnificent job creating each of us!
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
